The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing special events (primarily fundraising events); handling community, partner, and sponsor relations; and limited marketing and advertising responsibilities. The primary responsibility for this position is the planning and implementation of the annual Mother’s Day Run for Shelter, our main annual fundraising event.
We are looking for a dynamic, outgoing, organized and personable individual. Previous experience with planning and implementing events or projects is desired, but not required. More importantly, this individual must be able to “take the reins”; work closely with donors, sponsors, community partners, and businesses; handle all logistics; and ensure we have a very successful event. Excellent written and oral communications skills are desired, as is the ability to work with computers and MS Word.
This is a part-time temporary position that will be employed November through mid-June.
The Coordinator will work 20-30 hours a week, with a little more as the MDR event approaches (not to exceed 40 hours). The position is located in Watsonville near downtown
Pay Range: $18-22/hour depending on experience and qualifications
